Re: What would happen if? Second Gen!!

Nikki woke up to her phone vibrating off the side of her bedside table. She snapped her head up and groaned before reaching over and answered the call, not seeing the caller ID. "Hello?" She yawned out. What time was it?

"Nikki! Something is wrong. Wally's not home and neither are the kids and he would have left a not if they were going somewhere and when I try to call it just goes blank-" Jaine didn't realize she was doing a more normal way of speed talking. She was so used to hearing her family do it and her sister as well so she did it herself.

"Whoa, whoa, Jaine, slow down," Nikki understood her of course, but she could hear the fear in her voice. She immediately sat up and rubbed her eyes. "What do you mean everyone is gone?" She looked to her side and her eyes were wide when she noticed the empty beside on the other end of the bed. Sure Dick was always up before her, but the picture of all of them was gone.

When she looked around the room, it was like everything that was her husband's was gone. "No. No, no, no," she whispered. She held the phone as she zoomed around the house, checking her kids rooms and noticed they were empty as well. "Ariel! John!!" She exclaimed.

"Jaine, Dick and the kids- they're all gone! Its-Its like everything that belonged to them just disappeared!" Dick wouldn't take the kids and all their stuff and leave, right? No, they'd never do that. Also, there was no way they could do it in one night.

The heart in Nikki's chest was beating 300 to nothing. Oh God. Where was her family?!

"That makes no sense!" Jaine stated, frowning. "A villain?" She asked. They didn't know of any villains with the powers to make other people disapear. Unless it was someone creating a portal or something. She frowned and paced. "What do we do? Contact the Leauge? Bruce maybe?" She tried to stay calm, knowing that getting stressed up Wouldn't help.

"Right, yeah. Bruce-Bruce will know what to do." Nikki put Jaine on hold so she could call her father-in-law. But when the number went to an automatic response of "This number is not registered", her eyes went wide and she told Jaine, "Its not going through! It says-it says it doesn't exist or isn't registered! W-What are we gonna do?"

Jaine frowned. Just like her husband and her kids number. "We go to the Watchtower." She decided. Someone had to be there and know what was going on. Even the Cave could be an option.

"Watch Tower. Right. I'll-Ill meet you there." Nikki hung up and she quickly got dressed to zoom down to the Zeta Tube. But when she tried... "What?! No, what's going on?!" The old photo booth they used as a cover up wasn't working or wasn't even a Zeta Tube anymore.

Jaine got dressed and put her leather jacket on as well before getting out in her car and drive towards the city. Obviosly it would take her longer than her sister to reach the Watchtower.

During this time, Nikki was trying other nearby Zeta Tubes. None were working. "Dammit!! What is going on?!" She then called Jaine, hoping she had better luck than her.

"Yes?" Jaine put the speaker in the car on. She was just going to park her car and then go for the Zeta in Palo Alto.
