"I needed you back, babe. You just got me back, and I didn't want to live a life without you anymore," Wally said, rubbing her hand to calm her down.

"Jesus Christ, our lives are so weird," Carter muttered as she rubbed her hands over her face.

"Can we just make a ruel, that from now on, no one will die?" Dick asked. He already lost his best friend, then Mei... And he wasn't a fan of his friends dying.

"I can promise to try?" Mei said.

"I ain't going anywhere. Got my daughter to take care of," Carter said. She checked the time and sighed. "Speaking of, I better get home to her. But maybe when you get out of the hospital, Mei, we could all get together? I want you guys to meet my daughter, for real this time."

"That sounds fun. I still can't believe you're a Mom," Wally chuckled. He was still getting over the fact she and Dick weren't together anymore.

"Yeah. Maybe a double date? Will and I, and you two with Sammy?" Carter stood up.

"Yeah, that sounds-wait, Will? You're dating him now?" Wally glanced at Dick, wondering if he knew.

"Mmhm. We are," Carter said with a little smile.

Dick saw Wally's face and then suggested. "Yeah, how about a tripple date?" He hadn't told anyone yet, well Mei knew. But Carter and Wally didn't know that he and Barbara were dating. "Me and Barbara are kinda a thing."

"Oh. You and...Barbara." Carter couldn't say she was surprised. Ever since they were young, she knew Barbara had a thing for Dick. It was only natural that she would finally make a move on Dick once she was out of the picture. It didn't bother her, no...not really, anyway....

"That sounds fun," Wally said with a little smile. It wouldn't be awkward, right? He hoped not. That would just be hard to watch. "I'm fine with it."

"Yeah, I'll, uh, talk to Will," Carter nodded. "I'll update you guys later." She then left to go back home.

Dick smiled before he turned to Mei. "I'm glad your back." He said.

Mei smiled. "I'm glad to be back."

About a couple of days later, after making sure Mei was fine and all, the three couples decided to go to a carnival in S.T.A.R. City for the end of summer. Carter arrived there with Sam and Lian, who was very excited for the rides even though she might be too small for a lot of them. There were a lot of other fun activities for everyone to do, too. "If this feels too awkward, just tell me," Carter whispered to Will after arriving and seeing that Mei and Wally were already there.

"Will do," Will said, kinda giving her a nodge at his bad Dad joke.

Mei gave a wave from over where she and Wally were playing a game under the ferris wheel.

(I am gonna feel awkward.)

"Sure you're cool with this?" Dick asked Barbara as he walked next to her in her wheelchair. "I didn't exactly ask you." He said. Maybe she hated doubb-tripple dates or maybe he just hoped it wouldn't be awkward.
