Brooke saw Sam run out of the smoke, falling to her knees and coughing. "Sam!" She even went over to check on her. "W-who fired that gun!?" She asked, not sure what had been going on. She had been with Wally and Artemis the last time she saw her. She saw how the smoke started clearing as the flames were dying out. She thought she saw some people through the flames. "S-stay here!" She said, going towards the shot now that Sam was with Dick. It didn't take her many steps before she heard crying and it sounded like Jackie? Did that mean, Jason? Brooke ran up the last way, seeing the smoke clear more and Jackie on her knees. But she wasn't crying over Jason. He was standing next to her and he wasn't on fire anymore. Then why? Her gaze shifted over and she saw her gun on the ground a bit further away, blood stains on it. She then realised what happened, seeing the silhouette of Wally carrying someone away from the scene of fire dying and dead bodies. A big frown spread on her face, but all she could do was stand there.

Jackie couldn't move. She couldn't breathe. Jade's one request from Jackie was to just find Artemis and make sure nothing happens to the both of them. Now she hate it her immunity.

"It should have been me, " whispered.
But nevertheless, Jason was right. They had to get moving.

"Ok," she finally told Jason as she stood up. Everyone seemed to be leaving the scene which she honestly couldn't believe them because it was a bunch of chiseled and crisp dead bodies everywhere.

Wally carried Artemis a little ways of where everyone else was convening at. He just felt cold, and he couldn't even look at Artemis. He didn't want that to be his last memory of her. She was numb, not going to break down not yet anyway. He had a job to do, and it was to kill that bastard that started all of this.

Brooke registered what Jason said and when Jackie stood up with him she snapped out of her shock. Her first instinct was then to go after Wally. She didn't know why, it was as if her body didn't listen to her brain. He probably didn't want anyone to follow him, but she needed to check on him. She felt her legs run and as she caught up, trying to see where he went. After seeing him stop she slowed down. It felt like her heart stopped when she got confirmed who he'd been carrying. It was Artemis and she was... Instead of walking any closer Brooke just said his name. "Wally?" And you could hear how she was trying to keep her voice from tearing up. She felt for him, so much. She didn't know what else to say. She knew that "sorry" was pointless. She just didn't want him to feel alone.


Dick began to regain some consciousness after Sam called his name several times and gently shook him. His vision was blurry at first and he felt his head hurt from where he had been struck by that crazie. It was a pretty deep wound on his forehead and he tried to remember what happened, attempting to sit up after remembering the fight.

Jackie sniffed, tears peeking at the corner of her eyes. "If, if she had my gift, Artemis would still be alive," she said, slowly walking towards the others.

Wally stopped in his tracks after hearing Brooke. He really didn't want to talk, to accept the fact that Artemis was gone, that HE was the one who killed her.

Suddenly, he had fallen to his knees and was holding Artemis close as he sobbed.

Dick felt calm hands on his shoulder, making him stay back down. He then felt someone tending to his head. "S-sam?" He asked, still feeling lightheaded. He coughed s little, not sure why even though he had gotten some smoke into his lungs. He then realised it smelled awful. "W-what happened? W-where are the other?" He mumbled, feeling so confused.


Brooke felt her heart break when she didn't even respond to her but just watched him drop to his knees and cry. She felt his pain. She had felt it before, as many of them had before. Loss. Grief. It can fair. She felt her cheeks get wet as tears streamed down them. She wanted to just hug him, tell him that things would be alrighty. But she knew that was a lie. She wouldn't have wanted anyone to do that if she had been in his position so she just let him be, for now. To let him grieve alone and to stop the others should they try to approach him. He probably needed some time alone with her. It was clear how much he loved Artemis and it made her so sad that things had to end like this.

(Trying to keep my composure. I just wanna hug him. My poor babies )

Wally cried and cried until he was out of tears. Now he was just stroking her hair, whispering,"I'm so sorry... I'm so sorry for everything. For all those times I was mean to you. But you were always apart of the team, and -and now..."

A single tear went down his cheek.

"Now you'll always be apart of me. I love you, Artemis Crock."

(🥺🥺 THAT HURT!!)

Jackie began to cry again and she just hugged him, not even asking if she could. "Thank you," she whispered as she clung to his shirt.

(Dude, imagine what you're doing to me )

"Agh," Dick bit his lip a bit, feeling the tight fabric on his wound. At least it felt better even though his head was still thobbing. "W-what's that smell?" He grimazed, feeling the smell of burnt flesh but was a bit too newly awake to place it.


As Brooke walked back towards the battlefield she met Jason and Jackie. "L-let's leave him alone for a bit," she told them, talking about Wally. She then decided to go back to Sam and Dick to see how they were doing since the threat was over now but everyone was beat up.
