Jackie was also surprised when Brooke actually agreed to the things she said, and wasn't being sarcastic about it either. It made her feel good, so she somewhat enjoyed being "the boss".

She was the only one who could get to hard to reach places, so she used her tail to secure herself and nails things into place.

But all the while, she was glancing at Jason, wondering if he even had an answer to her question. Not that she was really expecting any kind of answer....

(Sam said it )

Dick smiled as he watched Sam walk ahead of him, taking her words into account. She had a point. He then kept walking so that they could see what camp Brooke had started setting up.

"Alright, that should cover it," Brooke nodded, seeing they had barricaded at what entrances was open. Now they just had one entry point in the front which was good. She brushed her hands against eachother to rubb the dirt off and put them on her hips. She then walked outside to go make sure Dick and the others came along the right way.

Soon enough she saw Sam approaching, carrying some fire wood and was followed by Dick. She didn't say anything to Sam as she entered the building to drop off the wood but she did ask Dick. "Where's Wally?"

"He ran off." He said. "I think he needed space. At least from me anyway," Dick said, sorta leaving the invitation for her if she wanted to go and check on him. He walked inside the old building to drop the wood off after that. Brooke looked in the distance, considering if she should go find him or just leave him be.

"Yeah, uh, food sounds great," Jackie agreed. She was glad that they had someone in their group who could grow food fast and could cook because she could do neither.

While she was on her own, she could open cans of beans or whatever and start a fire to heat it up, but she wouldn't call that cooking exactly.


Wally was already on his way back to where the others were. He had his little "pity party" and just chose to walk back instead of run.

It felt good to let off a little bit of steam, but it had come with a price. He was majorly drained now, and wasn't sure he could even run back if he wanted to. So he was talking his time, and hoping no Crazies would show up now that it was starting to get dark.

"Jason, think your "frost" could help us get some clean water?" Dick asked as he walked inside, putting the fire wood down where Sam had put hers. Honestly he had seen no source of fresh water near so maybe they could use one of Jason's abilities to make water.


Brooke walked away a bit from the entrance of the building, just going to look around in the other buildings and wait for Wally to come back since she had no idea from what direction he was coming anyway. She was sure he didn't want to talk and he didn't have to, but she at least wanted to make sure he was okay and returned to camp.

Jackie had noticed that Jason stopped looking at her and she let out a silent breath. What was she even thinking? It was the end of the world! There was no time for that shit. Survival was their number one priority, just until they were all in a better place. Let that be heaven or even if the world has somehow found a cure for the sickness plaguing it. But man, what she would give to have a nice warm shower now.

She sat down, resting her feet and she wanted to take off her shoes so she could rest her feet out in the open but she decided against it. Putting on boots wasn't easy for when and if they had to run.


Wally eventually made it back to where they once were and he looked at the rows of shops that they could have used for base. He scan the row before he saw something in an old MacDonald's move around and he knew exactly where they were. So he approached the old fast food joint and knocked on the walls. " Are you guys open for business? " He asked with a small smile, hoping that making a light joke would make him feel better.

Dick looked over when he saw his best friend approach. He knew that his joke was just a facade for him to cover up that he was fine. But he wasn't going to mention that now, so instead, he'd let someone else respond to his joke.


Brooke had seen Wally come back and smiled a little when she saw he made his way to the McDonald's building. She then kept searching the other facilities for supplies. She had found and old pharmacy, but it was mostly cleaned out. Of course. Everyone wanted medicine these days. However she had found a cabinet that was locked. She'd looked around a little before she'd found a knife. That knife had been perfect to bend that locker open with, which still had some anesthesia left in it. Also bonus, it was a nice knife. She needed a new backpacks, since her old one got left back at the cave during that Kaldur incident. Maybe she could find one here? So that's one thing she was currently looking around for.

Jackie snorted when she heard Sam play along with Wally's somewhat bad joke. She decided to play along. She held up her hand and asked, "Can I get some cheese on that? "

Wally, too, let out a half-hearted chuckle. " Well, all right then. I'll take one, " he said as he went and sat down. He then saw dick not looking at him and he frowned. "Hey, uh, want to sit next to me? " He asked, patting the spot next to him so they could talk.
