((xD well I personally have a small idea for Carter ^^ Whay if it somehow got out about Carter being affiliated with helping kill the Flash and she has to go away for a while. I was thinking of her resigning from the Team and joining a different one. A more...like spy agency for women))

((Well, since this has happened to her before with her dad and Psimon framing her for Sky's death. What if there was evidence of some kind planted by the Reach or oooohhh what if Bart arrives and he let's it slip that somehow Carter because a villain in the future and it makes her look even more guilty. All to the point that when fingers are pointed at her, she goes off the grid and even cuts communication with Dick for his safety, feeling he's better off without her.

Then we can skip the two years and do some stuff like with the third season? Dick could have retired and is now back and possibly seeing whoever "Oracle" is and then maybe Wally coming back in the end and can help clear Carter's name for good?))

(Hmm... I havn't thought of anything really. I had a brief thought that maybe if Wally dies, and mei would stop loving again and like go back to the ocean and everything. Or maybe she goes rouge, like stops loving and actually her compassion goes away, which makes her more vissious like other mermaids and she could go like really dark and start sirening people and then like eat their flesh. (wow... that's dark.) Realize I am just brainstorming now. Or maybe like her heart breaks, literally. And that's why mermaids don't love. Like, maybe they can only love once in their life and if that love ends their heart breaks slowly, so she's gonna die too.
I got a random thought now. But I don't know if I like it. That Wally would be able to be with Sky again when he's "dead". So yeah, maybe they become involved again and things be akward when he comes back. and... uyeah. haha. give me you opinions. I am tired and can't think)

((I dunno about the flesh eating but one of your ideas is like a comic i read. It has sirens and the way sirens are turned is that they were once humans who had a broken heart and then fall into the ocean or get lured by other sirens. Then the siren kisses them, passing their curse onto the human. Then human becomes siren, forgets all of their memories and feelings, and the siren becomes human.))

(Haha yeah. That was a bit extreme. I think I will go with something like her being heartbroken...)
