Young Justice Beyond

"Okay," Carter nodded before she bent down. "Are you okay?" she slowly asked Mei, wondering if she could hear them. She looked up at Wally who had grabbed a part of the curtain to try and seal off the edges so no on else could see Mei. From that, he bent down and helped Mei up, holding her.

"Carter, can you grab a towel?" he asked, seeing there was some nearby for after the performance.

"Yeah, yeah. Lian, stay right there." Carter walked over and grabbed a towel before coming back to give to Mei, knowing she was going to be naked in a bit.

"So, that was a show," Barbara said after she and Dick walked up to Juan. She gave him a look. "Looks like we did a little prank on you. We knew she was going to stand out, so we had her do a trick of her own with the fake tail."

Dick saw him still looking shocked. "We're magic enthusiasts."He added with a shrug and a smile.

Juan listenened before he smiled." Well wow! That's amazing! You made the show really stand out!" He said, remembering all the crowds cheers.


" Thank you."Mei accepted the towel as Wally helped her wrap up, seeing as how her tail disappeared when the water rinsed off." A-are everyone alright?" She asked, not sure if it was a good thing that everyone saw her like that. She had... Bad memories.

Will soon came back after talking to the backup team behind the show as well, hoping they were good to go.

"Yeah, uh, no problem. Lets just try not to boast about it too much. We don't want to blow out cover, right?" Barbara asked with a little smile. Whew. This guy was easy to impress. Good.


"Everyone's fine, we're just worried about you," Carter said, letting Lian's hand go so she could run to her daddy.

"Daddy, Daddy, she's a mermaid!" Lian pulled at his hand. "Didja see, didja see?!"

"I'm gonna take Mei home. We don't have any spare clothes for her here," Wally said, and even if he could find her original clothes she was wearing, they'd be soaked.

"Right. Of course. I would have asked" How'd you do it" btr, a magician never reveals his secret!" Juan laughed.

Dick and baraba laughed a bit awkwardly before they finally could walk off when things were cool.


Will lifted Lian up." Yeah. Yeah. She sure is." He knew Lian was still young.

"We can still come back for the. Um, clubdance though, as it?" Mei said, feeling like she didn't wanna ruin their date.

"If you want to," Wally said, looking down with a little smile.

"I think I'm gonna take the girls home. We've had a lot of excitement for one day," Carter said with a little smile, seeing Sammy start to get sleepy in her carrier.

Barbara then wheeled over to them. "Hey, everything's in the clear. No one suspects a thing."

"Yeah, that's probably for the best," Will agreed, still seeing Lian pull his shirt and talk about mermaids. "Okay, okay Lian. How about we head home and maybe... we can watch the little mermaid before bedtime," He asked her with a smile after bending down and picking her up.

"Ohh, yes!" Lian laughed and clapped her hands.

Dick smiled. He could understand the two with kids. "What about you two? Still on for later?" Dick asked.

Mei smiled at Wally. "I think it could be fun?" She said. She had never been to a club. She would just need to change, that's all.

"Great! How about, me and Barbara hang around the carnival a little bit. You two can head home, here's the key's by the way," Dick fished them up his back pocket and tossed them to Wally. They were all still sharing his appartment untill Wally and Mei got things rolling again after everything that happened. WHich would be nice, cause that meant that maybe he and Barbara could move in together. "And we'll meet you downtown later? You remember that place we used to go to?" Dick told Wally, knowing a Bar that was in Bludheaven, pretty close to his place.

"Oh, yeah. Nice place," Wally nodded to Dick after putting the keys in his pocket. He gave a wave to the young parents. "We'll see you guys another day, then. Bye, kiddos."

Sammy gave a little wave, making Carter giggle at her daughter. "Bye, guys. You have enough fun for the both of us," she said.

"We'll do our best," Barbara smiled and she gave a little wave to the kids. "Bye, girls! Good to see you."

With that, Carter and Will went to the car to go home while Wally went to the car he was borrowing from his parents. Without his super speed, he needed a way to get around and his parents said he could use that car as long as he needed it.

"Thank you," Mei said, appreciating the help and also holding the towel up, as she sat in the passenger seat. Some people had been staring at her a bit weird as why she was only in a towel.


"So,.. that magic show was exciting," Will commented, getting inside the drivers seat after they got Lian in the back, and Sammy in the front, facing the opposite direction. He looked in the mirror to see Carter next to lian in the back.


"Okay, so, my turn to win you something stupid and stuffed," Dick turned to Barbara, hoping she didn't think this was the worst date yet.

"Welcome." Wally went over and got inside before getting his seatbelt on. He could still drive, thank God, and was able to obtain his license pretty easily. It was pretty hard to explain to the person at the DMV that he was not dead like it said in his file. "Now, uh, Mei... The dancing you might not see might not be the ballroom dancing that you know," he explained as he drove them home.


Carter giggled a little. "Oh yeah, more exciting than we were hoping for." She got the seatbelt on and made sure Lian was strapped in. "Alright, good to go. But yeah, I think we've had enough excitement for one day."


"But you're not a prize," Barbara teased him, wanting to his reaction to the playful insult.

"Oh. Is there some other form of human dance form I should know?" Mei asked, looking at him. As always she loved to learn about new things.


Will chuckled. "Yeah, agree on that." He started the car before driving them towards their house. "Sooo. How awkward did you find the date?" He asked.


Dick gave her a look. "Oh, ha ha." He fake laughed. "You'll see." Dick walked next to her, since she prefered to wheel herself. He was Gonna win her something now for sure. He knew she was teasing though, of course.
