Bio: Gwendolyn Patricia Brooks was born and raised in Crowley Corners, Tennessee. She has an older brother - Devon - who is 22 and in the United States Navy. Her father - Charlie - is also a retired vet from the Navy and is now working as the Chief of Police in her hometown. Her mother - Vanessa - is an author of many children's books and even wrote her autobiography of transitioning from the luxurious life of Beverly Hills to a more modest life in a small town in Tennessee. Her mother is also the half-sister of Gustavo Rocqué, which is how Gwen gets the opportunity to move to L.A. and become famous.
Ever since she was little, Gwen has always had a love of music. She received her first guitar at 5 years old and sung her heart out on it. Then she wanted to learn piano and how to read and write music. By age 10, she wrote her first song and had been in multiple talent shows. Then when she got older, she wanted to pursue acting, but her heart would be dedicated to music. Her father was a bit against her dreams of moving to places like New York or L.A. to become a singer/songwriter, only because he worried for her well-being. "The real world is cruel, Gwendolyn. Its not fair" he told her. After promising that she wouldn't come home after a month of being away, he agreed and she and her mother moved to L.A while her father stayed behind to man the home and keep the townspeople updated.
Her Uncle Gustavo helped her start her career about a year ago until her mother more or less took over as her agent. Gwen still does her recordings at Rocqué Records, but she also records songs for movies, childrens' shows, etc. She'd start out there and then move onto her own record deal with another famous studio, album releases, and one day, a tour!
Personality: Gwen is not your average country bumpkin. Sure, she was raised on the farm with chickens, horses, pigs, etc., but she's a classic girl who loves vintage things like record players, walk-mans over smart-phone's, and actually writing her songs down in a special notebook than on a laptop. She's also super stubborn and that irritates her uncle, since he can't intimidate her like others. However, even if she's tough, she's also very sensitive, compassionate, and would do anything for the people she cared about.
