"Then what happened? Why did you help steal the gun that killed my uncle!?" Wally exclaimed, which made Carter flinch and he was a little surprised. She never flinched.

"I'm sorry, Wally. I didn't know what its uses were for. I made a mistake in trying to "help" a friend, but I was deceived. If I had known, I would never have helped take the gun," Carter promised him, holding her hands up.

Dick frowned and walked up behind Wally, gently laying a hand on his shoulder. "You just need to calm down." he told his best friend.

"I am calm. I'm fine," Wally said, brushing his hand off his shoulder. He looked at Carter. "Who was the girl?"

"Her name was Shade. I don't know where she is. She's disappeared and I've already tried to look for her," Carter told him.

"Sure you're not just trying to cover for her ass?" Wally asked. He was calm, but he was still hurt and angry.

"I haven't lied to you once since you've walked through that door, Wally!" Carter yelled.

"She's not the one who killed Barry, Wally!" Dick told him, getting a little protevtive.

"Maybe not, but still. She hasn't changed, Dick, can't you see!? Put yourself in MY shoes! What if it had been Bruce, huh? What if she had done that and it was used to kill him!" Wally told him.

Carter knew why Wally was angry. She was the first person related to this that he could finally chew out and that's why she was trying her best to just shut up and take it. But it still hurt.

Dick frowned, and looked down. He was right. Sure. He had a point. But... he knew,... he wanted to believe that Carter didn't mean to do it. That it wouldn't happen again. He was gonna say soemthing, but didn't know what to say.

"Dick?" Carter looked at him with a frown. Was he really doubting her right now?

"Exactly," Wally said. He looked at Carter. "So what will you do now?"

Carter gripped her fists and she said, "I'll turn myself in. Will that make you feel better, West?"

"Okay, that's enough!" Dick said, narrowing his eyes before realizing he raised his voice. He let out a breath. "Wally, you should go." He felt for his best friend, he did, and he knew he had a point but this conversation wasn't the best right now.

Wally gave him a glare before he sighed out. "Fine. Right. I get it. I'm sorry," he muttered, but Carter didn't really think he was sorry. He then left the apartment, kinda slamming it shut.

Carter also flinched when he slammed it and she hugged her arms and looked away, feeling horrible.

Dick breathed out. "Well. That could have gone worse," He admitted, trying to lighten the mood.


Back at Mei and Wally's appartment Mei was sleeping. Yeah. Of course she had no idéa about what had happened .
