"Yeahhhhhh no," Wally shook his head. "I'm gonna keep to myself." He looked at Mei and saw her looking over at Lian. "Gotten pretty big, hasn't she?"

Carter smiled and she followed Will's lead over to the benches where they would sit for the magic show. She liked magic shows, since they were fun even though they were fake.

"Maybe you should volunteer. You like being the center of attention," Barbara teased Dick.

Mei realized he said something and she had to look at him before registrering what he said. "Yes. Very," She smiled a little.

"Alright. Here should be good," Will aid, getting Lian to sit in his shoulders so she could feel better.

"Pth, please no," Dick chuckled, sitting down on the corner so Barbara could take the seat outside with her wheelchair next to the end of the bench.

Wally felt like something was off, but decided to just talk to her about it later. He just wanted her to have a good time. She deserved it. "Yeah," he chuckled a little before taking his seat.

Barbara giggled. Five minutes later, the magic show began and they started off with some cheap tricks like pulling rabbits and doves out of a hat and even a card trick that turned into a spider, making the girl in front row jump into her boyfriend's arms.

"Ew, spider! Daddy, spider!" Lian said, tugging on his ears.

"Augh...agh, y-yeah Lian, it's okay," Will chuckled, gently grabbing her hands so she wouldn't pull on his ears. "It's just for the show. It's not gonna hurt you." He promised.

"Think turning someone invisble comes next, huh?" Dick held his hand to his mouth, leaning over to tease Wally. They had brought a big cloth up on stage.

"And for my next trick, I am gonna need a volounteer!" The magician spoke and he emidiatly noticed Mei, who stood uóut from the crowd. He walked over and held his hand out for her.

Mei hesitated, but stood up to follow him on stage as everyone cheered on.

"Oh,.. so close. That could have been you," Dick whispered to Wally.

Wally elbowed him with a playful eyeroll before smiling. "Yeah, Mei!" he cheered with a chuckle.

Carter frowned a bit. The last time they had to deal with a circus or anything like this, Mei had been kidnapped by the ring master to show off his amazing mermaid he "caught". So yeah, can't blame her for being a bit on edge about this.

"You okay?" Will asked, grabbing Carter's hand after seeing her tense up. He didn't expect her to be the one who got uncomfortable during a magic show.

Dick chuckled before he grabbed Barbara's hand and turned back to see what the Magician had up his sleeve.

Mei smiled a bit nervously at Wally before the magaician, called; "The great Juandini" spoke up; "Please! Give a big applause for our volounteer!" He smiled and as the crown died down he asked her. "What's your name, miss?"

"Um, Meleine," Mei replied with a small smile.

Juandini smiled and turned to the crowd. "Meleine!" He smiled and the people cheered once again.

Dick stopped clapping his hands and saw how Juandini lead the mermaid over to where the cloth was set up.

"And now! Ladies and gentlemen, I will make the beautiful Meleine... Disappear!" Juandini spoke.

Mei got a little nervous when he said that, but just moved to stand where he geastured her to stand. Was she gonna disappear?

"As you can see, there is nothing behind this cloth." Jaindini pulled the curtains aside the circle arangement before he showed for Mei to step inside. "Now. I'm closing the curtains around Meleine, and when I re-open them. She will be gone," He said.


(Love how we got into a magic show at random. How about... we spice things up a bit? *smirks)

Carter tensed a little when he grabbed her hand before she calmed down. "Oh, yeah. Sorry, just...stuff like this makes me a bit nervous," she admitted. She then looked down and giggled when she saw Sammy clapping because of everyone seeming excited.

Wally looked at Mei and gave her a thumbs up, along with an encouraging grin. It was all fake, right? It was just all an illusion.

((Oooh yes I'm in! What you wanna do? Have Mei actually disappear?))

(Not exactly....You will see *smirks)

Mei retured a small nervous smile to Wally before the magaician pulled the curtains closed around her.

Juandini smiled at the crowd, and since this was more of a kinda magic show meant for kids, it also had a little humor in it. He got his fake wand out. Of course it was all just illusions and tricks. "And now! Time for the magic moment. Kids, are you ready?" He played with his hand.

Mei heard him talk before she sensed something and got an uneasy feeling.

"Yeees!" Lian yelled out and cheered as well as all the other kids who was there with their parents.

Juanidini smiled before he moved his hands in a "magical way" infront of the curtain. "Wonderful! Then it's time to make, the beautiful mei who're just behind these curtains. Disappear!" He raised his voice and that was the "code word". One of his assistants behind the scene pulled a lever they had there to open the hatch in the raised, wooden stage. And with that, Mei felt the floor disappear underneath her feet and before she could register she fell, she felt herself get soaked into a big tank of water that was placed underneath the stage to catch her fall.

The magic team, of course had hoped that their adult volonteer would take no offence in getting soaked in order to entertain the kids. However, what they didn't know was that a certain volounteer wasn't fully human.

The hatch was released back up and Juandini pulled the curtains aside, showing Mei wasn't there anymore, earning applaudes.

Behind the stage, a certain assistant's eyes were wide when she'd went to help Mei out of there, but as the bubbles cleared she saw a-a mermaid. Being too shocked she didn't have time to stop Juan, also knows as "the great Juandini" from revelaing the finale.

"And to make our beautiful, Meleine come back!" Juandini, who had no idea what had misstepped had putt the big curtains up again. "We'll just use some water," He had a bootle of water and poured it into his hand, it appearing to just dissapear before she opened his hand and confetti sparked out from the water he had poured in, just as he reopened the curtains. During this time, the tank had been pushed up through the very same hatch, and just a soaked volounteer was supose to be there. However.... that was when everyone gasped.

Carter's eyes went wide and she jumped up with her daughter in her arms. Oh, no. Not again. Not again. However, she wasn't the only one who knew the dire importance of the situation. Wally was wishing he could just run over and grab her before too many people saw, but he had no speed to do so. The only one whose mind wasn't reeling was Barbara's, who came up with a quick distraction.

"W-Wow! What a real life like mermaid! Two acts in one!" Barbara cheered before clapping her hands. She really hoped everyone would agree with her, and once people started to clap, they did! However, they still would have to try and explain the sudden mermaid to "Juandini" and the crew.

Wally saw what Barbara was doing before he got up and pointed somewhere to the right. "Hey! It looks like they're giving away free cotton candy by the games!" he called. He saw kids pulling their parents away to get the cotton candy before making his way over to the stage.

Mei wasn't sure what to do. It wasn't like she had the possibility to hide. She swam over when she saw Wally walking over and the crowd seemingly to leave. All sounds was a bit muffled by the glas around her and she put her hands to it. She saw Juandini still looking like he had seen a ghost, however, that quickly seemed to pass when he saw Dick and Barbara going over to talk to him.

"I-I'll talk to the assistant." Will offered, handing Lian's hand to Carter as he went backstage to talk to the crew and come up with some sort of excuse.

"I-it's a real life mermaid!" Lian giggled, putting her hands to the glass and looking at Mei. She was still too young to realise it was the same person.
