"We'll figure something out. I'm sure of it," Wally promised. He kissed her forehead. "Now, I think we've had enough excitement for one night. How about we choose a movie to watch?"


Carter looked at him before she looked at her drink and sighed. "Yeah. I know." She put the drink down. "Sorry..."

"Sounds good," Mei nodded, grabbing the tray to carry it to the livingroom.


"Don't appologize, but do something about it," Dick said. He frowned and grabbed her hand. "I worry about you."

Wally went to the living room and got Netflix up. "What would you like to watch?"


"That's the last thing I want, Dick. I don't want to worry you. I'm gonna be fine, I have you. As long as we're together, I'll be okay. Okay?" Carter laid a hand on his face.

"Something new?" Mei asked, walking over and putting the tray down.before sitting down.


"You sure?" Dick frowned. He placed his hand on top of hers. "What happened tonight isn't my regular Thursday," He said. He just didn't want to find her like that again.

"Alright, let's see... Romantic comedy? Action?" Wally suggested as he flipped through the new movies.


"I was stupid, okay? But you were there to stop me. You are the better half of me, Dick," Carter said. "You stop me from being a monster."

"Um, romantic comedy?" Mei suggested, thinking she had had enough of action for one night. 


Dick grabbed her wrist, but gently. "You're not a monster Carter." He told her.

"Rom-Com it is. I got just the right one. Now, come here." Wally pulled her close to him and snuggled up to her.


"I know I am. But it's okay." Carter hugged him and laid her head on his chest. "I love you, Dick."

Mei smiled and leaned against him, finding a nice spot with her head on his chest.


Dick frowned but stroked her hair before kissing the top of her head. "I love you, C."

Wally rubbed her shoulder and down her arm with his free hand while the other used the remote to play the movie. He sat the remote down and grabbed some of the snacks she made, starting to eat as the movie began.


Carter gripped his shirt before closing her eyes, feeling like she just wanted to sleep in his arms and never move again.

(So, I think we need a new idea )
